PRESS RELEASE
PARIS & BOSTON — October 15, 2026 — Biomemory, a leader in commercial DNA data storage and co-chair of the DNA Data Storage Alliance, today announced the launch of DNA Shield, a managed service for sovereign data protection, and opened its Early Access Program to organizations seeking an offline, independent layer for their most critical digital assets, information that must remain trustworthy over years or decades, resilient to emergent risks such as advances in artificial intelligence and quantum computing. The announcement marks Biomemory's entry into sovereign data protection: a separate, offline layer held at rest, separated from the active control plane, and removed from the network-reachable attack surface, for the tailored set of information an organization cannot afford to lose, whatever new risks emerge around it. It is the first product on a longer roadmap the company calls Molecular IT, which it plans to detail in future announcements.
A Year of Consolidation
Today's launch follows two moves that reshaped Biomemory over the past year. In March 2026, the company acquired the assets of Catalog Technologies, the Boston-based pioneer of DNA data storage and computing, bringing together complementary technologies, intellectual property, and expertise. The acquisition gave Biomemory a second production and research hub in Boston alongside its Paris headquarters, and meaningfully expanded its intellectual property position.
